Welcome to TRizNetwork.com

Good morning everyone. Betsy Harris brings us the above attachments for your consideration. Looks like a kind of mini-TRiz potpourri of altruistic importance.

To my fellow Rotarians, sorry if I went on a bit during Happy Bucks, but when I saw only Rose Wilson in line behind me I just had to take the wheelhouse. How I went from the President’s table to one which the staff was tempted to not put linens on in just one week is beyond my comprehension. I guess I need to call back AnnMarie Sullivan in order to be important again. Brian Haggerty please call AnnMarie for me. Brian you are a dead man when I get the microphone next Happy Bucks!

I would like to mention the formation of a new Rotary Softball Team. I was appointed General Manager by the “Secret Society of the Dark Nights of Rotary”. We are having a “name the team” contest. Those in contention so far are “The Rotarian Roaches” (seeking Steve Certa, Watch All as a uniform sponsor) and “The Rotarian Rottweiler’s”. Please bring your suggestions to next weeks meeting. Brian you better get clearance from the board before truly forming the team.

Speaking of next Monday’s meeting, IT IS IRISH NIGHT, with THE BLACK VELVET BAND! Why not celebrate St. Patrick’s Day twice next week? That is right, if you are a friend of a Rotarian (hello, that would be me) then for $25 you can buy a ticket which gets you a meal (corned beef & cabbage, etc) and entertainment next Monday from 5:30-9. Band starts at 6. Please contact Donna Foster at donna_foster@comcast.net TRiz & Dan Toland will be dressed in our Leprechaun outfits.

Speaking of Dan Toland, the short pamphlet “What I Have Done For Rotary This Year” autographed by Dan, will be available next week for $1.25. Only kidding my friend. Dan does want me to tell all the young single ladies in the TRiz Network (at last count I have no count!) that Dan is “available”. Dan is the kind of guy that will take you to Hawaii ladies.  The unfortunate thing about that is that he will meet someone else there and return with them!  Oh, I am sorry Dan, you are an easy target my over-talented friend.

Speaking of young ladies, we welcome Leanne Hindy to the TRiz Network today and we have a request of our restaurateurs out there that Leanne is seeking employment in the restaurant world, nights, if you know of anything, please contact Leanne @ 781-414-1137 or go digging for her e-mail here!

Tom Tanner, thank you fro putting me in charge of the remaining Rotarians when you left last night. Thanks also for the donation of the veterans plot. Good man!

TRiz also welcomes Paul Johnson to the magical world of TRizville.

Have good day, collect keys, corks, pull tabs & bottle caps please.

TRiz www.triznetwork.com & www.bossnet.ning.com

Ps. many positive replies to both the Rene time and the washer/dryer request of yesterday!

Weymouth Public Schools

Hello my network friends. I would like to welcome Joe Pelland (That’s Italian Too in Weymouth), Rita V. and Betsy Harris to the TRiz Network! Look for some follow-up from Betsy for her involvement in Weymouth High School. We’ll be looking to find community service work for high school kids and we’ll be asking for assistance for “A Night To Remember”. Stay tuned for more info to follow.

OK, that being said, WE HAVE SOME WATERFRONT LAND FOR YOU (at least a short walk to the beach). Please see the info below submitted by Sue Wright on behalf of her sister Jan. Make contact with them (see below) if you or someone you know is interested.

The “Take A TRiz to Lunch Fridays” program is working so well that it inspired the “Take a Rotarian to Lunch” program and now we have the “Take Your Local Veterans Agent to Breakfast” program. Since we have only one Weymouth Veteran’s Agent that makes things easy! Frank Burke will be experiencing a Moose Sunday morning breakfast on 3/14/10 with TRiz. Next Friday’s “Take A TRiz to Lunch” is sponsored by my friend Steve McDermott of Steve McDermott Electric here in Wey. The TRiz Salmonburger will probably be my meal of choice. Chris DiMambro, next time you make new menus please refer to it as such!

Speaking of the Moose Family Center, good work on helping the Wey Elks, the gracious hosts of last Wed-nite’s BOSS meting. heavily attended, doing great, look for an item in an upcoming Wey News. Starr Keefe, ER, thanks! www.bossnet.ning.com Sign up!

Welcome the following new members of The Patriot Squadron of the ANA, Association of Naval Aviation: Sean Maloney, Sean Guilfoyle, Ken Guilfoyle, Ray Jennings, Dan Toland (Dan does everything I tell him to do, but he really does have a good mind, don’t be afraid to talk to him sometime). http://www.anapatriotsquadron.com/ For $15 become a member and support the history of our Naval Air Station going forward.

PLATELETS….. that’s all I’m gonna say. Donna/Becky at Red Cross Braintree 781-794-1800 Maryann, thanks for “holding my hand” two weeks ago there! I am “under the needle” tomorrow at 9:30AM.

Is Lent over yet?

Hey my prayerful people, would you pray for my friend Bob “Moose” Frazier who was headed to Afghanistan last Monday? Also he is looking for people to DVD-record Red Sox games to send over. Carepacks, can you hear me on that one, thanks Steve/Rick.

OK, if I say anymore I may confuse some of you. Good day!  Whoops, once last thing, Eric Jacobson, I volunteered your services to help “website” the Weymouth Elder Support Council as I mentioned at Rotary. Please contact Lucille Sorrentino at lsorrentino@weymouthhcc.com Thanks my friend.

MARCH POST

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting!

A SPECIAL EVENT THIS MONTH IS THE 100th BIRTHDAY OF ICONIC WEYMOUTH SCHOOL TEACHER ALMA DRISCOLL.  MRS. DRISCOLL TURNS 100 on 3/23/10.  I myself was in her English class at South Junior High school, numbered 9-1-3 circa 1973-1974.   Who can forget the legend above the clock: “Time will pass, but will you?”  Ah, the memories!

I have changed my front page ad in the Wey News (the one some of my friends are waiting for my passing so that they may have that treasured spot) to honor Alma for the next four weeks. Keep Alma in your prayers please.

If you can give blood or platelets I implore you to call Donna or Becky in Braintree at 781-794-1800 to do so!  The short amount of time it takes to give is worth the lives it saves! Also the Wey Rotary’s drive is on 4/5/10 at the high school.

We are still saving corks, pull tabs & bottle caps. Please fill my “paramilitary sport recreational all-season all terrain high intensity TRizmobile” when you see me around town.  TRiz is going GREEN for March.  Look for the TRiz Orchestra, lead by bandleader DJ DOUG FOLSOM to perform at Warren’s Place aka Warren’s on the Square on St. Patrick’s Day afternoon 4 - 8!

Thanks! TRiz, inventor of www.triznetwork.com

TRizNetwork Announces New Forum

Hi All,

As some of you were kind enough to point out to TRiz, we had a lot of spam in our prior forum and were forced to shut it down.  We have a new forum set up called the TRiz Lounge.  This forum will hopefully be more secure.  In order to keep spammers out, we will add users to the forum ourselves instead of allowing everyone to sign up.  Please use the contact form below to request access.  If approved, we will send your username and password and the actual password to enter the forum.  If you prefer, you can also request your username and password in your message.  We apologize for the inconvenience but unfortunately, it’s necessary.

Thanks,

The Webmasters

Welcome everybody to the launching of the TrizNetwork website!

tomrizzo1Welcome everybody to the launching of the TrizNetwork website!
Several month ago, I got together with some friends of mine here in Weymouth and we decided to supplement the regular emails with a website.  The website is intended to allow those of us in the powerful, powerful Triznetwork to connect with each other, independently of the regular emails.  Don’t worry, you’ll still get my emails, but this way, you can do your “bizziness” without involving the powerful wizard of Triz in every technical detail.  You see, this is all about you
Lately, the Network has sold or transferred all kinds of stuff like washers and dryers, fitness equipment, cars, sports tickets, dogs, cats and kitchen sinks.  O.K., no kitchen sinks, but we could certainly do that if we had to!

So, perhaps your asking yourself:  How is this different than Ebay or Craigslist?  Well, first of all, I personally know each and every one of you (almost!).  Secondly, most of you know at least a few others in the TrizNetwork.  And Thirdly, you all are in the same general geographical area of Weymouth and the South Shore of Massachusetts.  Obviously, this will make it more convenient to transact and do business with each other.

It is also a convenient alternative to announce local charitable events, social events and various benevolent endeavors.  From time to time we share advice on safety, share inspirational messages, alert each other to scams, and make broader announcements, like bereavement notices and such.   This web site is intended to help strengthen our bonds and connections with each other and allow the members of the TrizNetwork to take advantage of those connections for themselves.

So, here’ how to use it:  Click on the Tab at the top of the page entitled “Triz Directory” then click on “Triz Forum.”  There you can register and begin posting.  If you’re looking to sell or donate an item it is the perfect place to make a local connection.  You can post an announcement of a local social event or fundraiser.  Hopefully, it will serve as valuable resource for all of you in the coming months and years ahead.  If you have any comments or criticisms you are invited to have a cocktail and post them in the virtual “Triz Lounge.”  Oh, and sarcasm will still cost you a quarter–just like the real Triz Lounge! Ha!

I’d like to thank my good friends and technical gurus Danny O’Brien and Eric Molander for their help in putting together the website.   I also want to thank Gene Santorelli, Gregg MacDonald and Ray Jennings for their advice and counsel.  And Congratulations Gregga on the new baby boy, Dillon Patrick MacDonald, 10lbs 4 oz. Of “mini-Gregga”!

Please take a few minutes to visit the site and register in the Triz Forum.  We are all still getting to learn this medium, so feel free to post your comments and suggestions for the site too.  At some point we will be making your business links available to the site and I am entertaining the thought of certain select local advertisers subject to my approval. Please enjoy and I personally thank you for being part of the Network!

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

The TRiz Network was spawned by your interest in the many things “TRiz”. TRiz is of course a short form for Tom Rizzo (see my biography in the so-named link).

The many things “TRiz” simply means that which we have had in common through our personal and/or business lives. Whether it is helping you sell a home or a car or items of personal property or acquiring sports tickets or services of those in the Network, there is a formidable representation of products & services at your disposal.

Further, you will be brought into the fraternal, social & benevolent associations that I am involved in as an active member. These organizations do much good for the community at large, with a special concentration on veterans, children & those in need of a “hand up” in life.

The TRiz Network was formed in November 2008 and since at this writing we are in our infancy there will be much added & there will be kinks to iron out in the months to come.

The TRiz Network was formed by members who include my friends, family, clients, business associates & fraternal brethren, many of whom are “all of the above”! There are currently about 300 people who receive my regular e-mails.

You will be introduced to some fabulous links & hopefully our network of contractors can help you when you need their services. While I cannot guarantee perfection I can say with confidence that I have worked with these people and am confident in their integrity to such a degree that I would have their names on the site.

You will have an opportunity to post your own dialogue as we move forward. Stay tuned for more information and thank you for logging into www.TrizNetwork.com.
